About

Hello, and welcome to this dim and dusty corner of the internet where I (occasionally) share my miniature sculpting and painting activity, and pretend that this is still the early 2000s and people still read blogs (or read at all).

My background: I got into the miniatures hobby via Games Workshop as a child in the early 90s. In a story that will be familiar to many others, I drifted away from the hobby as a teenager believing myself to be too cool for it, and then took it up again in my late twenties when I realised I wasn’t. From about 2010 I focused on display and competition painting and then started to get into digital sculpting in about 2016. I worked for Games Workshop as a Citadel Miniatures designer 2018-19, before leaving for personal reasons to live in Monmouth with my wife and cat. I now work as a self-employed miniatures designer, mainly focusing on small scales (10 mm and below). I still like to sculpt and paint 32 mm figures as a hobby, without any particular aim beyond enjoying the creative process.

If you’d like to know more about my background in the hobby, I was interviewed by Vince Venturella on his YouTube channel in December 2019.

Thanks for reading and please feel free to leave a comment on any of my posts or send an email via the contact page. Feedback and discussion are always very welcome!

I have galleries on Putty & Paint and CoolMiniOrNot under the username glazed over, although I no longer update them with my recent work.
